8th International Conference on Sustainable Information Engineering and Technology (SIET) is held to bring together academia, researchers, business entrepreneurs, practitioners, and policymakers who are responsible for applying information engineering and technology by leveraging intelligent computing to create and enabling a smart environment. The pandemic COVID-19 has transformed many aspects of our live. Mckinsey reports that COVID-19 has speeded the adoption of digital technologies by several years—and that many of these changes could be here for the long haul. Since it can drive economic growth, improve quality of life, address global challenges, foster innovation, and enhance communication and collaboration in the future.

Thus, based on such an issue, the theme for SIET 2023 will be "Empowering Digital Technology Innovation for a Resilient Future".
